So is there any point in me having 3-4 different ones of those things, or should I just resell them?

So far, the only Nelsonic G&W mini remake decap is Donkey Kong Jr. The chance some of them having a readable MCU is not 0. I wouldn't resell them if I were you(not worth much anyway, unlike authentic 1980s G&W)

I double checked the Starfox watch roms, didn't find any errors in them. I didn't look into the program rom decoding yet.
The SM530 melody rom decoding also appears to be different from SM511. I tried the SM511 raw2good conversion and playing it in a loop, can't hear any of the jingles. That is, assuming the melody controller is actually the same one.

Tiger handhelds Rocketeer, Wayne's World, and X-men are added to MAME. Rocketeer is the same game as Robocop 2(same die ID, identical ROM), with different LCD/background/bezel.

Cool! I can't believe that I missed that Rocketeer had the same ROM as Robocop 2!

I'll put together a possible ROM for you to check out.

That's a bummer about the melody ROM; the array looks pretty much identical to the SM511's. Maybe it's something simple like the bit order is reversed.

The Super Mario World watch is also not SM530 frown

SM530: I can throw it at the disassembler, but unless it's very mashed up, I wouldn't be able to quickly tell if the ROM is good. Understanding assembly language for these 4bit MCUs is not my thing. Getting SM530 emulation working first (at least make it read/write stuff to RAM) is a better idea.

No problemo. =)

S1 directly connects to the piezo? Or is it like Sonic 1/2 (involves 2 resistors)
And could you show the die part where it (possibly)says M81?
