It's a TMS1200, this MCU type hasn't been dumped before, it may need to be decapped. Send a PM to Sean if you're willing to part with it? =) Though he's very busy these days.

Yeah, it's missing parts (the handles), so I'm probably going to sell the case to someone that wants to make an Escape from NY tracker from it. smile
So that will leave me with the board, I can sacrifice that.

Just want to share some info on the progress with scanning and dumping games. I started to scanning and mapping the G&W Donkey Kong game using a custom pcb similar to the one seanriddle is using and have got great help from him with this. After that I've managed to electronically dump the ROM (SM510) as well thanks to seanriddle.

The game is in a working state and plays fine. There is one issue remaining and that is that I can't get the colon segment (that is shown between the hours and minutes) to work correctly. This is what the game looks like when starting up:

Changing the segment ID in the SVG file to something else make the segment lit up so I don't think the issue is with the SVG file. I've got some more things to investigate regarding this and if anyone has any ideas I'm happy to try them out so if you have any ideas please let me know smile

Firstly: great work! =)

Looks like other grouped segments work fine, like AM and GAME A/B. But just to be certain, try making a dummy ungrouped segment using the same id as the one for the colon to see if it shows up.
It's also possible you simply have the wrong pin number. Which SM510 pin lights the colon segment?
And of course, can't rule out an emulation problem either.

Is this SVG final? What I always do before potracing the scan to SVG, is clean up any dust particles, scratches, wear&tear. This way it won't look rough around the edges.

Thanks hap, it's been really fun learning all this stuff smile

You are correct that other group segments work (btw I have grouped all segments, including single object segments). I can also get the segment that isn't lit up to show up if I change the id to another id that I know is working. It could be that I haven't located the correct pin number for the missing segment but I have tried all possible pins and still haven't found the correct one and therefore I'm starting to think that it could be an emulation problem but it can also be something as simple as bug in my script that assign segment id:s.

The posted image is from the game running in MAME. The SVG:s are looking better and I've done my best cleaning them up. This is a better rendering:

I'll keep you posted on my progress with this and if you are interested in looking into this I'll be happy to send you the files.

Update: The segment ID for the messing segment _should_ be H4A5

That image looks a lot better, strange that the MAME screenshot is so rough.

H4A5: H4=3, A=0, 5=4.
3.0.4, correct?

Sure, if you run out of solutions, I can look into it.

Yes, the screenshot is a bit rough but it was taken at a low resolution which could explain that.

My script translates H4A5 to 0.4.3 which I believe is correct as other segments are working using this formula:

x.y.z where:

x = a/b/bs/c: 0/1/2/3
y = segment 1-16: 0-15
z = H1-H4: 0-3

I'll investigate this a bit more but would be happy if you would like to take a look.

You're right, 0.4.3.
I'll PM my email address to you. (see envelope icon at top-right of screen)
