Yes, the SM5A emulation works very well. I'll do my best to add a few more SM5A games now so that we have more to test with but I don't foresee any problems with the emulation.

G&W Snoopy Tennis has now been dumped and a PR added to MAME smile

This game is actually based on the SM510 and not the SM5A which I previously assumed all games in the wide screen series was based on. I hadn't thought that much about this before but as the number of display segments on this game exceeds the SM5A:s maximum number of 72, it would have been logical to assume that it was based on the SM510 instead. Perhaps there are other wide screen games also based on the SM510?

Anyway, this is what the game looks like:

Inlay scans can be found in my dropbox directory.

Thanks to everyone involved with getting these games preserved and please take a look at the latest artwork and updates done by hydef, they are brilliant!

G&W Octopus has now been dumped smile Thanks to everyone involved!

[Linked Image]

The game is SM5A based and it's the oldest G&W game emulated by MAME so far. There are now three different SM5A games running without problems in MAME (Mickey Mouse, Fire and Octopus) so the MCU emulation seems be good. I'm currently working on some other wide screen series games (Turtle Bridge and Fire Attack) but they both are SM510 based.

I've put up some videos of the recent G&W progress that has been posted here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9-KXa8QMu4 Fire
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcL8rT-LHVQ Snoopy Tennis

no Octopus yet as hidef hasn't uploaded any artwork for it.

Thanks Haze for making videos on these. It's not your fault but I wish I had fixed those awful Snoopy buttons before you made that one into a video. I've been making a few new things inc. Octopus and have been redoing some in little ways, it's just the buttons that are holding me back. But hopefully they'll be done soon.

I thought they looked alright if I'm honest. I think people viewing my channel are used to 'in progress' reports anyway tho, I mean the audio emulation on some of the stuff I've been uploading lately is atrocious (eg the SpongeBob game) but the videos are also interesting for people as they show other sides of the progress.

I think the G&W games with hydef's art look fantastic already.

I watched the links Haze provided and i saw animated button presses. Now i wonder if this is possible with the current artwork system? I am asking this, because someone told me it is not, at least not with Vectrex, where i wanted the same thing for the controller.

2-state(pressed, released) animated button presses have been possible in MAME for many years.
