If they had enough space to keep the cheats in, I'm sure they could have removed this 'feature' too :P You can control the main char in Egg/Nu pogodi after game over as well btw.
*edit* bah, of all videos I checked on Youtube, everyone obediently lets go of the controls after game over *edit2* finally found someone doing it with Chef
I remember playing Pac-Man game in black / while. One of those device small like game and watch. I just don't remember what it look like, I do know it had cherry. My grandma sold it in a sale long time ago. I had a few other games too, I should've hang on to all of those that I had back then.
"The Vending machine unit is basically a larger version of it, and it has a normal chip in it: NEC D7502G 139 Is that one that can be dumped non-destructively? I can probably loan that out if it's dumpable..."
That's uCOM-75, kevtris hasn't found out yet how to dump these.
So... I did things kind of out of order here. While looking for more G&W stuff (you guys have got me on an LCD kick now), I stumbled upon the handheld "Catch a Coke" thing, and read up on everything I could find for it... except this thread. Made an offer to someone for the handheld version... he wanted too much, so I skipped out on it. Next day, I see the auction for the full machine one, mentioned in this thread from almost three years ago. Made an offer on that one, and then I see the original mention in this thread. Guy accepted the offer, so it would be rude to back out.
I figure this way, Rik doesn't need to sacrifice his for dumping needs, if dumping it requires destructive methods. Would Sean still be the person to send this to? Or someone else? Would also need the backdrop scanned, and the front face of the machine scanned.
RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.

Rik sold his handheld collection a while ago. uCOM-75 isn't dumped by anyone yet, and AFAIK hasn't been decapped before either. So it's unknown if the bits will be visible, and rom row/col layout is unknown.
Nice! I've got some that I can scan, but many of the ones I bought to dump were in very rough condition.
Thanks, Sean. Wonder if they could be salvageable.. These are cheap ones I bought and they weren't in the greatest condition. My scanner doesn't seem to be for 3D objects, everything comes out blurry and totally unusable and I tried rescanning all the backgrounds but they lost so much of the colour that they looked nothing like the real thing. I had a really painful time trying to photograph everything instead. My camera's terrible and everything needed recoloring or fixing in some way.
G&W Balloon Fight (new wide screen) has now been preserved in MAME
Thanks to JD for kindly providing the game!
The game is using the SM511 and is actually sharing the exact same PCB layout as Climber (new wide screen). The melody ROM has been extracted electronically and is not certain to be 100% accurate.
This is a screenshot from the game:
Hydef, working at almost the speed of light, has already created amazing artwork for the game:
