Another guy commented that the NEAT implementation of 86Box (m_at_neat.c) allows the above ROM to boot to the DOS prompt.

Right, our NEAT just needs to have configurable version returns.

My quick emulation project of the day was the ASC-88, a simple 8-bit ISA SCSI adapter. The main thing preventing it from working now is that it doesn't have a valid settings EEPROM. Since the EEPROM (a NMC9306) is mapped into the host memory space, it could theoretically even be dumped in place from a PC. There's also supposed to be a program called ASC_MODE.EXE that can update the ASC-88 EEPROM in place, but so far nobody has found a copy.

What settings does it actually contain? The 5380 is only a small step above riding the SCSI bus directly with some latches, so it'd probably mostly just be which SCSI ID to boot.

Most of the settings aren't that obvious, because the NCR5380's simplicity means that the adapter has to work the poor host CPU a good bit harder. Some of the settings registers have only one or two functional bits; others are expected to contain one of several seemingly arbitrarily chosen values. There's one which gets individually read out from EEPROM into RAM but is completely ignored by the BIOS after that.

The ASC-88 User's Manual would probably give a meaningful overview of the card's capabilities, but that hasn't been found either.

Been fiddling with the PCI PC driver for a bit, seeing if I can make something resembling a PCI video card.
So far, I have framebuffer access working on an S3 ViRGE/DX, so you can see Tux whenever you boot some Linux distros.

No idea why it says "Processorprocessor", this seems to be a recent regression.

I was contacted by a guy who's trying to restore a Panafacom Duet-16 - I was quite surprised there's another one out in the wild.

He sent me the BIOS for a DEC Venturis 433sx, unfortunately it's not a simple slot in, so I've uploaded the archive to the FTP. He's describing the system in great detail and has included a link to a site that has a whole cart load of DEC stuff, http://unimatrix.gomtuu.net/DEC_legacy/legacysupport/digital/epid41.html.

Since dumping the BIOS and graphics ROMs from DOS had worked well with another 486 laptop (Lion 3500C, current PR), I thought I'd give my old Thinkpad 370C a shot. The content seems all to be there in the files, but simply dropping in the files didn't work - the usual jump vector isn't there in the debugger.
I've uploaded the files along with a lot of collected information on the FTP.

Might use flash. In that case, https://www.flashrom.org/DOS will work.
