I've located someone with a rare Japanese TRS-80.

This system contains these different features:

1) an extra 1K ROM to handle Kana characters:

2) Other curious unique aspects: the power LED toggles red and green when switching into Kana mode.

3) The system contains a Kana character ROM.

4) The system doesn't use the Z80 but instead the compatible NEC uPD780 CPU.

QUESTION:
I'm looking at the ROM DUMPS WANTED list. But if I can get some of these, where do I share them so they get archived well?

Also, is there any interest in adding missing foreign language character ROM support for the TRS-80?

Are there maintainer(s) of this machine's code?

Thanks for any advice.

We're certainly interested in non-English computers, we've added Chinese-language Apple II clones recently.

If you get the ROMs, you can either tell us here or use the MAME contact form at https://www.mamedev.org/contact.html

I don't know if anyone actively maintains the Z80 TRS-80 drivers right now, I know Robbert does some maintenance on them.
