G&W Mickey Mouse (Panorama) has now been preserved in MAME smile

The game shares the same ROM (and PCB:s) as Donkey Kong Circus, only the LCD is different.

This is a screenshot from the game:

Thanks to Mr Jiggles the Christmas Man for funding the purchase of the game!

2 minor issues. There's a thin white line at the top of the screen in external views. Background Only view there's a white corner on the left curtain

Small bug in gnw_mario artwork, in "unit and backdrop" view, the left screen shadow is at the same coordinates as the main screen.

Never opened them, so no idea of the chips inside... But I can check if necessary. smile

Hi Rik

On cheap handhelds like this, you're likely to be greeted by a blob of epoxy. The MCU underneath will probably be unknown without a decap.

Rik,

As hap says, these games most likely has an MCU with only an epoxy blob on top. However, if you are willing to check what the MCU looks like and it's likely to be a Sharp SM5x, I'd be happy to try to dump them.

Okay, I'll check them tonight and see... If it's a blob, is anyone doing anything with those? 'Decaping', etc...
Do they even attach the chips with enough leads to dump them, or do they usually require the visual technique?

Cool, please let us know what you find smile Perhaps (in theory it least) it would be possible to dump a MCU chip electronically even if it's an epoxy blob but that would require that the MCU type is known and that all required pins are available on the pcb. I think it more likely that a visual decap would be required.
