I just uploaded an archive to the FTP containing ROM dumps, disk images and documentation from the Philips P2000C - another Z80 CP/M machine. It was already mentioned on this forum, but it seems the machine was not added at the time.

The other members of the Philips P2000 family, P2000T and P2000M, are already emulated in MAME.

I received a P2000C from a fellow member of the German vintage computer forum, but as these things go, a capacitor decided to release its magic smoke 20 mins after I first turned it on. Awaiting replacements ...

I've replaced the filter capacitor on the P2000, and it's back to running smoothly again.

Nice graphics for the time:

Quoting a vcfred thread: "The machine has a CPU board with a separate "terminal" board that is connected to the CPU board via a TTL level serial link, so the display looks like a dumb terminal to the computer."

This guy is repairing his terminal board, some useful information there, but there are full schematics in the manuals I posted.

Hi Robert... I am interested in the ROM dump(s). Where is that FTP to be found?
I am new to the forum, and can't seem to be able to find them...

It isn't. Also asking for links to ROMs is generally discouraged.

Clear, and thank you for pointing out the etiquette. But I can't help wondering why he mentions an FTP-upload nobody can use. :-)

He's trying to publicly shame someone into writing a driver for it, I imagine :-)

Looks like I can't do anything right with MAME at this point. I've posted stuff without the hint only to be asked by devs where the contribution was.
I see the smiley at the end of your line, RB, but it looks like not everyone does, and I really hope you mean it.

I meant the smiley. Z80 CP/M isn't really my thing (unless it's on an Apple II card, of course) but if nobody picks this up I'll throw together a skeleton sometime.

I'm actually interested by having a look once I'm done with fixing by remaining cd image bugs.
