Netlist audio requires more CPU power than samples, so if your PC is old you might experience slow-downs. What kind of CPU do you have?

it only just manages 120% on a 4ghz i7 from 5 or so years ago, so yeah.. it's rather demanding now.

We are constantly trying to improve on performance. But expecting 30% to increase to 100% is not realistic. The netlist subsystem (and MAME in general) do not really make use of parallel processing - for a number of good reasons to be fair.

But your core2 would not benefit from that. Running win10 with a low-performance geforce 210 has a constant resource usage as well.

There is a small hair of a lag on the speech? Sounds weird. Gotta be my hearing. Saying twice.

I suspect it might not be running 100% on your system. Check skip.speed with F11.
Not much you can do to speed it up currently, but netlist is always being improved and refined.
If the game really matters a lot and your CPU isn't up to the task (my i5 3.2ghz doesn't get 100%, for instance), keeping a copy of 0.223 might be good.

Yeah I'm not worry about it. But the sindbadm have no issues at all. I guess some will have that issue.

Running at 79%-81% here on astro blaster.

Hit F10 speed it up to 87%-94%. Sounds much better after hitting F10.
