it might be worth adding one or more of the Sega vector games eg spcfury to your benchmarks if you haven't already, that also took quite a hit so it will be interesting to see how performance changes over time.

Yes, spacfury took the biggest hit (8 am PST build):

mame elim2 -bench 90
Average speed: 357.03% (89 seconds)

mame zektor -bench 90
Average speed: 324.26% (89 seconds)

mame spacfury -bench 90
Average speed: 184.01% (89 seconds)

I added spacfury to the 2020 bench runs. We hit a 97% slowdown w/ the discrete audio. smile

With my 4790k O.C.'d to 4.8ghz I get roughly 145% 😮

yes i tried with a nighty build and now up from 30% to 61% speed on astro blaster so a vast improvement
