There's a new macOS-only dedicated Apple II MAME frontend called "Ample". It includes a MAME binary and can download the Apple II ROMs from the Internet Archive for you.

Vas added JPEG and DIB support to the generic picture image device, so that means ComputerEyes can now load JPEGs. Here's one now:

Thanks to Vas who fixed it up, the grappler plus is now in master. Yay!

Now you can do fun stuff with the ap2000 in getting graphic screen dumps with

./mame64 apple2e -sl1 grapplerplus -sl1:grapplerplus:prn ap2000

CTRL+I 0L sets left margin to zero
CTRL+I G enter gives you a graphic dump
CTRL+I GL enter gives you a graphic dump at the left margin
CTRL+I GD enter gives you a graphic dump double size
CTRL+I GDE enter gives you a graphic dump double size emphasized
CTRL+I GDER enter gives you a graphic dump double size emphasized rotated
CTRL+I GDER2 enter gives you a graphic dump double size emphasized rotated page 2
CTRL+I S gives text screen dump

and you can do it from the keyboard, like PR#1 enter CTRL+I G enter
or PRINT CHR$(9)"G"

graphic is from the a2tstdsk (apple 2 test disk) (the password for the a2tstdsk is 123 - had to figure that out),

Does this require the buffer added to the ap2000 or does it handshake correctly?

It seems to work fine without any buffer needed, I'm running compiled from master and it's good.

Printographer works once you RUN CONFIGURE to set the printer and parallel card to Grappler Plus.
Zoom Grafix 10/83 (zgfx1083) works with Grappler as the printer card.

Listing basic programs with PR#1 and LIST works as well. (If you want 80 columns, do a PR#3 first). You don't have to worry about the high bit problem, which is cool.

And if you enable the ap2000's keyboard, you can change fonts on the fly with 7 (NLQ roman/sans) 9 (draft) 1 (compressed only works with draft).
(While it's printing hold it down until it gets to the end of the line and waits until you release the key).

That's awesome. Hopefully Print Shop works too.

Just tested prntshpc, unfortunately it's dropping characters when you select grappler plus as the interface card.

However, it does seem to work with choosing the grappler as the interface card.
