Kelvin Sherlock gave a short presentation earlier today for KansasFest 2021 on MAME's Apple II emulation and his very special-purpose Mac frontend, Ample.
To be fair, it's more of a mixed bag of feedback than you let on. There's positive feedback, there's (valid) negative feedback, there are people who apparently took 3 weeks to get MAME set up (most likely, if anything, due to the profusion of outdated and outright wrong guides out there), and then there are some questionable takes about running full-fat MAME on an earlier model of the Raspberry Pi than the 4. That last one is something I don't see realistically happening given the overhead of a cycle-exact 6502 core combined with the sheer number of other devices that need scheduling.
Quinn (who said she took 2 weeks to set up a cabinet) has designed and built several custom computers from scratch so she was definitely following some questionable documentation.
The PI thing will absolutely end in tears if it's not at least a 3, and ideally a 4, but I don't consider that to be really about MAME, given that LinApple also doesn't run full speed on lower-end Pis.
