Now that Microsoft has announced the price points for both Deluxe and Core Packs of Xbox 360? is anyone going to bite?

The proposition of a G5 PowerPC games console is enticing; even one sourced from Redmond!

I'm definitely tempted to get one since I never bought the original XBox. There are a bunch of "Xbox only" games I'd like to play and since 360 will play both new and original xbox games it's well worth it. I'll probably wait a bit though to see what emulators are being made for it though because that's another reason why I would want one.

Personally I am more excited about the prospect of the Intel based Macs and what that will do for Mac emulation...

There are just too little modern games that keep me interested for more than a few minutes...

I might buy a PS3 someday... when the price drops to $100. That's how I usually buy new consoles. (Well, "new" for me.) But I can't think of a single compelling reason to buy an XBox anything. The only handful of new games I buy tend to come out for the PS2 anyway, and those are few and far-between (although I'll be among the first in line to buy Burnout Revenge).

eek

I'm itching so badly for a new mac. I'm still running my upgraded G4 sawtooth I bought back in 2000. I figure whats another year more for something new. My boyfriend builds PCs and he insists that he'll be able to build be an x86 that'll run OS X. wink

Truthfully I'm not overly excited about any new systems, until I start seeing some games that I would want to buy. I barely have time to play anything now anyways, and most of the games I buy I play once or twice and end up sitting on a shelf until they become retro titles.
