to somehow use MAME to simulate a state of 'Game Over' with the game you're currently playing. You know, as if you had used up all your lives you had in the game you're currently playing, and it is now 'Game Over?' I hope I am articulating my question to everyone in the forum adequately. Is such a thing at all possible with MAME?

I mean, you can just start a game and deliberately lose and you'll be in game over, sure.
