Managed to make some kind of sense over Everdrive-MD loading the SD card filesystem:

It really is the same hardware as the Portfolio but with different LCD controller (82C425) and now with 512K RAM.

Unfortunately the character generator ROM is undumped but am also working on another machine using the 82C425 (Psion MC600) so have borrowed the extended ASCII characters from that.
