Well, after hauling my Stelladaptor and a few controls into work, I can't say I'm terribly thrilled with the results.
Having the Stelladaptor plugged in caused Stella 1.4.1 to slow to a crawl, and eventually caused my Mac to freeze. Solid. No force-quitting out of that one. :annoyed:
Weirder still, if I moved the mouse while the Stelladaptor was plugged in, it would cause Stella to pause every time.
I'm guessing that USB Overdrive might be the cause. I suppose I should just uninstall it and see. It hasn't caused me problems (that I know of) before, however.
Another note - I can't get the keypad support to work in Stella, either. It's "supposed to", but none of the games (or test carts) that support it recognize any key presses. (This is just using the Mac keyboard - not the Stelladaptor.)
Anyone have any better luck?
Edit: Okay, well I uninstalled USB Overdrive and Kensington Mouseworks (forgot that was in there  ) and now the Stelladaptor mostly works, and Stella is running fine again.
I say mostly, since the paddles won't sit still. At all. Even if you leave them completely alone, the Mac cursor will jitter like it's had too much coffee to drink, even without Stella running. So it's some sort of Stelladaptor thing. Or an OS X thing. It looks like this.
And if the paddles are plugged in, it won't let you use the mouse, either. Anywhere. Only the paddles will control the cursor. Of course, this makes not only the Mac kind of useless, but also makes paddle games unplayable.
On the plus side, the joystick and driving controller work really well.
(I realize this isn't the proper forum for Stelladaptor gripes... but since PongHit asked, I thought I'd mention it here, too.)
