Well, there is support for oss emulation in alsa and that's fine but it would be best if one didn't have to use it. Maybe starting to use sdl sound instead would be a good idea?

AO is just great bytheway and I will continue to use it! There isn't any applications that can keep up .. at least on x86_64!

M1 has a preliminary ALSA driver - once it's gotten a bit better tested I'll include it in AO as well.
