I love the fact you have a Rom loader (not sure why all emus don't) but wonder if you would concider the following changes:

When you start up Nestopia and enter the launcher, could you have it open to full screen rather than the small window? Or the ability to save the launcher screen size like it does for the Emulation screen?

When running in a window - when you double-click on a rom in the launcher screen, could you have the launcher automatically goto the background bringing focus to the emulation screen?

You can sort by columns but after you exit the launcher, it forgets your last state unless you sort in column 1.
Example:

By default, the column order is: File, System, Mapper #, Prom, Wram, Battery, Trainer, Mirroring.
Now if i sort by Mapper #, which is column 3, and exit - once I restart the launcher, it is no longer sorted by Mapper #. It defaults to File.

Also, the Find option only works for Column 1.

Thanks again for such a great Emu!

Also, from what I have observed, the F5 hotkey (refresh launcher) appears to be broken.

The reason why I loved mame32, back in 1998, is that it used what would today be called an "iTunes-like" interface. It made the game library the main interface of the emulator, and you could easily sort, filter, and search for any game you wanted to play based on a nice graphical interface to an organized ROM database.

The MFC Windows-esque Single Document Interface style GUI used for most emulators is simply not the ideal interface for a video game emulator. Mame32 (now called Mame32qa) realized this early on:

There was a for-pay Famicom emulator that had a similar interface, and instead of showing a screenshot in the righthand pane, it would simply immediately load the game and show its title screen.

Taken to the extreme, such an interface could provide box scans and manual scans, in addition to the typical screenshot of the game itself.

I want you to make the game can searched with the launcher. (put up the search box.)
