recent lists to be preserved when upgrading to a more recent version of nestopia. laugh

If you keep older cfg's around they will be preserved. Although there are no guarantees that all settings will work on later versions, the worst thing that could happen would be for the changed/removed parameters to simply be ignored. The log file will output a warning message when that happens.

all I do is extract newer versions on the same folder as the old ones. Recent lists and all the cfg alltogether gets wiped out.

what am I doing wrong then?

If you copy everything, you'll overwrite the old nestopia.cfg file. That's the one you're supposed to keep if you want your settings preserved.

heh, I'd swear I didn't see anything similar to a cfg file on the nestopia zip file.
