Hi

I have a problem to run MESS on my notebook recently purchased. It start up the GUI okey, but when fire up a machine it popups the screen once and display the error message "MESS encounter a fatal error: Cannot create another system semaphore.".

Any solution for this? TIA.

MESS Version: 0.111
Notebook: ASUS R2H (it works on my original desktop but not this notebook)

I've never seen this; it looks to me like your computer is running out of memory or is otherwise clogged up. Also, IIRC the only semaphore that MAME/MESS creates is for multithreading... is that enabled? If so, does disabling it help?

Sorry for late reply (I couldn't log in until I find out the browser block the cookies).

Thanks it solves the semaphore problem.
Unfortunately I still don't have much luck, the screen open and load 25% and disappeared. I have to kill the process. Also I notice when I close the GUI the process doesn't go away.

I download 0.100 version and this one works. I guess there is some change after few version.
