Would it be possible to set up web browser access to the MESS SVN repository? Browsing the old CVS tree was a really convenient way to look at the history of a MESS or MAME driver.

Thanks. It'd be nice if that link was somewhere on the MESS website, as the link to the browsable CVS tree used to be.

Yes, the MESS website is almost entirely useless at the moment. I think Chris is going to fix it up.

it would also be nice if the old repository do not get lost... sometimes is useful to take a look to the changes done in an old 0.89 release to see where a bug can come from wink

The MESS WIP page is entirely controlled by dorando, I don't even have access to it. It looks like there is already a link pointing to the trac page. Please priv. msg. dorando if you want more links there.

RB: Are you keeping archives of previous sdlmess releases on your site, or do we need to mirror them here?

No. To clarify: I see no value in keeping old versions archived on either site - they can now be reproduced by pulling an appropriate SVN revision.

Well, why link to dorando at all? You control the MESS front page, don't you? Change the link there to point straight to trac.

It was decided that importing the CVS history into SVN was more trouble than it's worth, so SVN only has history back to when we started using SVN. So most of the old versions on the site can't be gotten through SVN.

I've fixed up the front page, and status page, and updated the sysinfo page.

Downloads page still needs fixing. Be patient please.

Let me know if something else needs fixing.
