I am using the latest version of macmame and tigerOSX. so, why can't mame find my chd file? I created a folder in the roms folder named kinst2 and put the chd file in there. still no go. i put it a couple other places just to see if it would work. still no go. is there a part of mame i can alter ( an ini file maybe , lol ) so that I can tell it exactly were the f'n thing is?
Read the docs. You need to create a folder in "Hard Disk Images" called "kinst2" and put the (correctly named) CHD in there, and you need to put the ROM zip in "ROMs". But that aside, MacMAME is dead. You should try MAME OS X or SDLMAME.
