Please restrict yourself to actual verifiable track names. Tracks with no known official title should be named after the point in the game at which they occur (e.g. "Stage 3 BGM") or just "Unknown" if you don't know that information. Names should never be just made up, and please omit the political commentary. M1 is for everyone to enjoy, not just people who (dis)agree with the authors and contributors ;-)

//Edit

I've added them to Hoot as well, and there's something funny with that rasslin' game. Only 8 songs, which is kinda pitiful for a wrestling game I believe. But after each song there are at least 5 tracks that have a single portion of the song playing... Maybe those were somehow switched during play resuling in several song variations?

//Edit 2

And hot damn, does that Kaiun Quiz game has some pretty nifty music or what?

Thanks, added. It's common for Namco games to have commands that play fragments of other full tracks - I don't know if it's just the way their driver program is or what.

ETA: and yeah, Kaiun Quiz sounds fantastic. Who would've guessed?

Is that like some of the Sega games where you hear voices playing (sometimes at wrong speeds or pitches) while another track is playing? ....I mean, in M1 (of course).

Take VF2s "Star from Hong Kong" for example. Where you (might) hear "Time Over, 1, 2, 3."

I know the speed issue still isn't updated, but I think it did that before the songs got faster.

Hopefully you'll find it better looking than last time. Sorry, I just remembered it was sitting here on my hard drive and I forgot to edit out the unnecessary information. Happy Holidays.

I managed to get the Namco NA-1/NA-2 games playing. A bit more work is required as the main CPU dynamically copies sound data from ROM to C219/MCU-accessible RAM. I need to find the tables matching ROM banks to songs for each game.

I must say, despite its general crapness, Knuckle Heads does sound pretty damned good:

http://philwip.mameworld.info/knckhead-016.mp3

It's a bit noisy because the C219 supports an extra, sign+magnitude sample format I haven't looked into in great detail.

M1 has been getting so much love lately - it's great to see. Keep up the fantastic work!

I'll take this opportunity, also, to release another unique M1 set. I spent the day today making a long overdue .LST file for Star Trek: The Next Generation Pinball (sttng_l7). While researching it, I noticed and realized that there was another STTNG set which had additional/changed sound roms. This set, STTNG_X7, is known as "Special". The added speech appears to be customized by actors themselves for their own personal machines. Let's just say some crazy things are said all around laugh

There was another STTNG set which had 1 different sound rom (STTNG_S7), but I couldn't tell any difference nor did I notice any added bits.

So, here is the M1 add for:
sttng_x7 - Star Trek: The Next Generation (LX-7 Special)

The .LST file for this set and the sttng_l7 set are about to be posted for download in the other thread!

Code:

Doing a little M1 testing today and I've noticed a few driver profiles are not playing properly or at all with the latest release:

ENDURO RACER
ENDURO RACER (BOOTLEG 2) - Speed of voices is too fast.. expected?
OUTRUN
SUPER HANG-ON
Y BOARD

The suspect seems to be the SEGA PCM which all drivers have in common. The Space Harrier and Hang-On [ENDURO RACER (REV.2)] seem to work ok, however. I remember you mentioning work on Super Monoco GP.. related?
