Some questions:

Will it run on Linux/MacOSX?
Do we have to wait very long for it?
Except for some new games will there be any changes to Zinc 1.1?

Greetings to M.Belmont and all the other Zinc Freaks

Linux definitely, new games will possibly be the same as the current MAME sets when released, non-working games removed.

I'd personally like to see ZiNc with a simple non-enhanced graphics output like MAME or pSX, but just my opinion. I've been in a bit of trouble saying this a long time ago (with ePSXe actually) so I'll be quiet now!

Yes, it will likely be at least two years before the next version of Zinc is released, if ever. This is due to the fact that every time someone asks when it will be released, another three months is added to the development cycle.

I am starting to wonder if we need another zinc release at all. I mean, most PCs made in the last few years are able to run PSX-based games in MAME at full speed. The only reason I could think of is that it may be thought to be a niche software, and RB might not care about, erm, Bemani restrictions.

I'm actually considering back-burnering it until we see if smf's bluffing or not with G-NET - then 1.2 could contain every PSX-based system known to man :-)

And there are no relevant Bemani restrictions - WE DON'T FRAKKING KNOW HOW TO DECODE THE AUDIO FOR 573 DIGITAL SO THE MAME RESTRICTIONS DON'T EVEN ENTER INTO IT. I hate it when people don't pay attention.

Finally, MAME++ gave up:

Mame Plus! 0.119ベースに更新
last public release

So what's next? Is ZiNc project going to be continued?..

Thanks for your attention.

No, RB can't be that childish.
