it was friday night for me here, so no way to spend time looking for a solution when I can spend it drinking beer wink

anyway, if I can find a clean solution, I'll post it here afterwards to be commented and possibly included in one of the next updates.

A fixed release has been posted. I'm not sure it was as bad as I thought, but this one's gone through better QA anyway.

Thanks. Smoketested on OSX 10.5.4.. :-)

Can you say something about why -mt doesn't work properly on OSX?

Is it the SDL Library or something in the OS?

SDLMAME runs for me with -mt (and I get something like a 2fps boost!) but continuously spits out this on the terminal:

mame[15333:540f] *** _NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0xa0937920 of class NSCFString autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking
Stack: (0x93b58cdf 0x93a65562 0x940b8181 0x91e00b78 0x91dff4f9 0x91e0f996 0x94031c76 0x9403179e 0x94031222 0x2b84d8f 0x2b84851 0x2b773e7 0x563171 0x56057e 0xefccf7 0xefd102 0x928c46f5 0x928c45b2)

Not trying to pester you, just being curious as usual.

Quartz isn't thread-safe.

How weird is that. With so many mac models with multicore CPUs.

The more I get into this OS the more little weird things I discover. Like how for example H.264 decoding in hardware is not supported on capable Nvidia GPUs. I wonder if it's true for the Apple TV as well.

Nvidia should make a version of PureVideo for OSX.

Heh, I know I can't get you to talk about this. :-)

Probably not, since he doesn't do professional OSX development and probably knows about as much as you or I. smile

What is the behavior of mainline in such a case?

Mainline closes the debugger and reopens it, as if you'd restarted the entire app.
