Will try to spread the word, yeah. Maybe trinitr0n already has those floppies...

Tried to edit the floppy image (change load address) -- kernel loads completely but fails checksum test.

Patching the BIOS to use work area at another location avoids the crash, but CCOS 3.1.0 still doesn't function:

However, earlier version 3.0.1 does:

No keyboard yet, so it's not very useful smile

Awesome work, and an emulation first!

BBC Model B, ATPL Sidewise, Acorn Speech, 2xWatford Floppy Drives, AMX Mouse, Viglen case, etc.

Hooked up the keyboard to Compass, played some Pac-Man smile

https://youtu.be/wpJ6pyd9H9A

There's a DTMF dialer built into internal modem of the Compass, and the game uses it to play tunes -- not in MAME, though (MK5089N chip not emulated)

Got most (not all) of the keyboard mapped for the Communicator now. BASIC now can be tried out.

Barry jumped my TODO list and added the X68000 MIDI card. This card allowed e.g. Dracula to play music an MT-32 or SC-55 (General MIDI) compatible device.

Through the magic of modern technology, I was able to set up a wireless MIDI link between my MacBook and my iPad Pro, with the iPad running Roland's official Sound Canvas emulator and have MAME send data to that link. The result? It plays perfectly, as you'd hope.

Here's a photo of the setup running, I'll do a video capture off the iPad so you can hear the tunes soon.

And here's the video:

Guru's talking again, and he has this super-rare mid-90s Namco game, "Abnormal Check". It's on modified ND-1 hardware and the in-game screens break our YGV608 emulation quite badly (possibly a color depth setting we don't support?). Going to poke around trying to improve the in-game graphics a bit and submit.
