YGV608 core is very incomplete/wrong, so it really doesn't surprise me.

Also is the game ultra weird like the flyer suggests? smile

The graphics that work are very ultra weird. I think the actual gameplay is pretty much a quiz, which is why the control panel has two buttons per player.

The YGV is a bit gnarlier than I was expecting so I'm just going to commit this later today and hopefully someone can take a look.

Here's a photo of the setup running, I'll do a video capture off the iPad so you can hear the tunes soon.

On that note, here's Sol-Feace talking to an actual CM-32L. I had to "loop back" the audio output into the line-in of my PC so the music and the effects (generated by the YM2151+OKI) play at the same time, and the volume balance came out a bit weird. The music sounds quieter in the recording than in actual play.

Spoiler alert: I get absolutely wrecked in the second stage, as expected.

Neat! Is there a list of X68000 games that support MIDI out and which standard(s) they'll play with?

Ahh, handy! Looks like we need to support MIDI cards for the PC-88 and PC-98 too smile

Added for the PC98, haven't set up any soft midi though so I don't know if it actually works.

MIDI is detected by Edge at very least.

Doesn't make any sound if I choose MT-32 in config menu, guess it's expected?

You need to actually connect some MIDI device to get sound then.
