I've just added mouse support. It seems to work fine with Windows.

With pmackinlay's latest round of fixes, IRIX is now installable on an emulated SGI Indy. Unfortunately, the Newport emulation, having previously only had the boot PROM has a test case, is going to require quite a lot of fixes:

Great to see JD! I promise I'll start looking at performance and back porting to mips3 now we seem to have the core nearly correct. Looking forward to seeing advances in the graphics.

Some slight progress in emulating the Newport video board. Unfortunately, the mouse stops responding once IRIX actually comes up, so it's a bit hard to actually do anything. Also, I'm pretty sure my VDMA emulation is broken. frown

I'm not sure yet where the line drawing issues are coming from, but here's the Indy running the "buttonfly" demo with latest:

This is some seriously cool stuff, Moogly! Thanks for your tenacity. I really really wish I had time to assist, but I know it's in good hands.

I've always been curious about the (subtle?) differences between GL and OpenGL, and it looks like I'll be learning through your efforts soon.

I googled around for where to find Alias PowerAnimator Irix install media, and it seems the folk at http://forums.irix.cc have a lot of software uploaded to a private'ish FTP. Looking forward to when you're comfortable enough with the driver to tell them about it and let those flood gates open!

They know about the driver, and Moogly is (or at least was, a few weeks ago) also active on their Discord. There is tons of SGI software on archive.org too, though I guess it will take quite some time until we see fully-working GL in the driver...

That being said, current progress is exceptionally awesome, SGI is one of the last "big" UNIX systems to get a working emulator.
