The M6803 in the keyboard bit-bangs serial over to the M6803 in the "TDS box". The M6803 in the TDS box hands bytes over to a SCN2681 DUART in the same box. The DUART in the TDS box sends serial over to a 6850 ACIA in the computer crate. The M68000 in the computer crate reads bytes from the 6850 ACIA and puts them on-screen. You can't explain that.
That is some quality Rube Goldberg engineering.

Informer 207/376 with redumped chargen ROM:
Informer 213AE:
This one has an ASIC controlling many aspects. I couldn't identify yet where it reads/writes the keyboard and SCC.

The Informer 213 AE now has some basic working functionality. Keyboard is hooked up as well as the SCC:
Screenshots are showing it connected to the Windows WSL running Ubuntu with Bash.

Really cool. Does Linux support it in termcap, or does it emulate something more common?

It's switchable between VT100 (what it calls ANSI and is shown in the screenshots) and VT52.

Thanks to bmx hooking his dance mat up to a logic analyzer, there's now support for the "Jammin' Gym" dance mat controller for the V-Tech V.Smile:

Mai Basic Four model 2000:
It's doing not much, but at least showing the bootloader (and debugger). The hard thing will be to find OS media - it was running something called 'BOSS/IX'.

Another sufficiently odd (tm) machine for future emulation: PANAFACOM Duet-16, circa 1984
I got one yesterday including the harddisk and the complete loot you can see on that picture. This will be a busy weekend
Cool
May I suggest another sufficiently odd (tm) hardware? Labtam 3000 series (Australian machine) --

Some of these were sold to Soviet Union, maybe some still survive...
Indeed they do:

Why necro a thread to point out a thread that's literally one of the first 5 non-pinned threads on the first page of threads, with the distinctly not-unclear title of "Labtam 3000"
