Or better: Of all my zipped .SMD files at once?

I know, this is more HazeMD than MESS, but anyway, I tried to organize my collection using ClrMAMEPro and it skipped almost everything except for a few files. Turns out that ClrMAMEPro (and probably HazeMD and M1) don't like ROM headers much, but ClrMAMEPro seems to be unable to do something about it.

So, is there a way to remove them from all my precious games without having to manually unzip every file and delete a portion using a Hex editor. A batch would be cool.

depends on the format; if the header is always a uniform size and not interleaved with the ROM data, it should be a simple task, for example if you have a *nix environment (if you use Windows, you can get MSYS or something similar, and you'll need Info-Zip binaries in your path):

Replace "bs=512" with the amount of bytes the header takes up.

I think tools like ucon (and probably goodgen as well can) remove the header from all the carts at once
