Get it at the homepage.

Nothing new SDL-wise this time, but many nice bugfixes and more Naomi progress in baseline make this well worth checking out.

Smoke tested on Fedora 10 (x64) and Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Intel).

Works fine for me (openSUSE 11.0 x64)!

I noticed that some game names were changed to be longer than 8 characters now... no problem with this (it's really time to get rid of this former DOS file name restriction), I'm just curious if it's really new or if I just didn't recognize it earlier...

the latter wink

from 0.129u4:

to make it easier to add simple suffixes to clone names without

Ok, thanks for the clarification -- seems I somehow missed that wink!

Damn, my parents have long Unix names... laugh

Has the cheat situation changed since 129u5 or so (i.e. does the new system work for incompetents such as myself)?

it did work since 0.127. you just need updated cheats.zip (from Pugsy's page) and turn on cheats in mame.ini

No, this still doesn't seem to have any effect - cheats are switched on in the ini, and the newstyle zip-of-a-jillion-xml-files cheat.zip is in the directory spec in cheatpath, but the tab menu shows nothing cheat-related.
Any ideas? Will try u4 now...

Aha, got it now. Needed to specify the cheatpath as "/cheat-dir/cheat" if cheat.zip is in /cheat-dir. Makes sense I suppose... smile

it's because MAME treats zipfiles like subfolders
