btw, mode 7 should be back to correct working state now.

I should better check which test changes are in the patch and which are not, before the commit... wink

Clay Fighter requires "really freaking good" timing. As a single project, not something managable. As a long-term goal, broken down into a lot of small steps... MESS would benefit quite a bit from the on-going work before there's an ounce of improvement in Clay Fighters.

Bug #1638 seems fixed as of svn 5734. I'll mark it fixed.

Thanks Kale.

He and I both know the guy who programmed that audio driver. The author considers it an ongoing source of lulz that even bsnes sometimes glitches that audio but it's always perfect on real h/w.

Oh, that's one seriously SICK sound driver. Simple HDMA spooling is enough to give most emulators problems, and it doesn't even stop there smile

I'm not sure whether it's more impressive than Star Ocean's virtual sound channels, but it is decidedly more reliable smile

The same programmer came up with running code out of the DMA registers so you could decompress at 3.58 MHz on a slower ROM cart, which gave earlier emulators serious fits smile
