The start intro in ActRaiser seems to be ok, now.

Which region?

The Japanese rom will get you music and a title screen and even allow you to start and play.
The US version shows the title fine, but no music. Then, when you press start, you get a black screen.

Sorry, for the missing details.
I was talking about graphics in start intro only, tested on (J) version. Because before it was looking funny.
And yes, for (U) and (E) versions, the music is missing.

Found a bug in the Mode 7 registers. Later, I'll test if fixing this bug allows for improvements in F-1 GP 3 and in Super Chase HQ start screen...

Sorry about the lack of information. With version 0.128, Rushing Beat shows the Jaleco intro screen and after that if goes to the black screen and nothing else happens. With the current SVN version, it doesn't even show the Jaleco title screen.

while neither Super Chase H.Q. nor the circuit preview in F-1 GP 3 do benefit from my change, it is nice to see that sharing registers as per Anomie's research fixes the in-game graphics in F-1 GP 3. the game is now playable!

[Linked Image from mamedev.emulab.it]
(notice I reached the end of the first lap, something not possible in current svn)

As a drawback, few glitches has appeared in Super Chase H.Q. in-game road, but for sure emulation is more accurate now than it was.

Now I'm cleaning up a bit the code and then I commit the fix. I also noticed that STA77/STAT78 support seems incomplete and I will investigate it afterwards

Mode 7 improvements are in svn.

@Kale: your open bus work has broken both Super Double Dragon and SNES Test Program (they both woks if I return 0xff for unsupported reads)... could you take a look?

It reads from 0x2555/0x2556, that aren't actually known registers (???).
What's supposed to do if it reads from invalid stuff?

Hey RB, I think you can scratch out some items from your Wiki list:

Add Nintendo varient that runs in terms of SNES master cycles for better accuracy
Rewrite SNES renderer from scratch for better accuracy, including modern discoveries

The first one's still very necessary. The second, less so now.

028FC6: AD 55 25 LDA $2555
028FC9: CD 56 25 CMP $2556
028FCC: D0 F8 BNE 028fc6 (-$8)
028FCE: CA DEX
028FCF: 10 F5 BPL 028fc6 (-$b)

Fixed the open bus behaviour, but I wonder about the morality of reading undefined/invalid registers for (supposedly) delaying the program flow execution...
