The -listmedia command is in the svn, so all one has to do is compile it. I imagine Bobz build would be made that way.

I (and most people) expected the final build to be compiled from the svn as well, but that certainly didn't happen, I have no idea what occurred there.

I used to submit changes that affect the MAME side to mamedev, but the last few submissions have been ignored completely, so now I leave it to those team members who are also in mamedev to apply the change to mame's svn on my behalf. It seems it hasn't happened. There's nothing further I can do or say about that.

If it doesn't work in Bobz's build, let me know and i'll upload a binary somewhere.

I think only the dasm fix got lost, and it happened because it was the time when Aaron was busy and charged Phil Bennet to review patches. your fix got lost not ignored.

maybe let mamedev know that something has changed? I fear my crystall ball drained its batteries, so I can hardly dream that some change needs being forwarded

Does this really need to be in MAME code? MESS and the OSD layers do define their own commandline switches without disturbing MAME clifront on a pretty regular basis AFAIK smile

as in the case of the old -listdevices, you need to add -listmedia in the table of option at start of clifront.c

the actual code for -listmedia is and will remain in the MESS source

thanks Curt. Also for the ieee488 support!

I think cbmieee.c code can be safely removed now (or is it still in use somewhere?)
