Is there some way to get MAME to dump out this binary blob when you run the game?

I guess ultimatly, even if someone did figure out how to run that binary blob, the fact that there is an MPEG chip in there means that it wont be emulated anytime soon smile

No, that format *is* Sony ADPCM.

what about yamaha adpcm, AKA 'delta-T' aka 'smif-audio'? (same audio format ym2608/2610 and y8530 use)
That's a weird oddball one which just came up a few days ago on the list...

There's a fricking MPEG decoder chip on the board. I'm pretty sure Konami wouldn't have gone to that expense for any kind of ADPCM. Also, unlike the Jaleco music games, Konami actually did care about audio quality.

smf and I are not gibbering morons. If it was any kind of half-standard ADPCM we would have recognized it.
