You are expected to know what you're doing. Please PM/email me any changes. If circumstances dictate, public SVN will be made available.

Windows end users will find nothing new. Linux end users will find native PulseAudio output support.

Awesome. I'll sync up the Mac version in the next few days and you can add that code to the tree...

I've been unable to build an .so that works on more than one distro (or version of the same distro) but you're welcome to try.

Zip has been reposted without some problems noted by jonwil. If anyone is redistributing the source in any form, please use the new zip not the old one. (Delete the old M1/ folder entirely before unzipping the new one to eliminate the issues).

Also, "You are expected to know what you're doing." implies getting around MAMEWorld's referrer blocker wink

The sound stream introduces itself as Audio Overload smile
Also, what's the license? Given that the source is available now, maybe m1 would be suitable for packaging at some point?

It's not really ready for packaging yet given the lack of license/readme/etc. I just wanted to get it out there since it wasn't like I was doing much with it.

And yes, my WIP NEStopia with Pulse support also shows up as "Audio Overload" in the mixer ;-)

Hint - try typing "drwbwl" into the Mac version of Audio Overload. The best jokes are the in-jokes.

Thanks for the Mac port!

Would you consider working with Emuman so that M1 can be used in his MAME front-end M+GUI?

M+GUI can call M1 to play game tunes while you're browsing the game list. IIRC it works in Windows and Linux, but on OS X M+GUI doesn't want to talk to M1.

M+GUI integration doesn't work on Linux, it's Windows only.

Honestly, it's not something I have time for - but since the source is now out there anyone can bridge the code if they want to...

Incidentally, the PulseAudio output in the posted new version works great with projectM to give you trippy visualizations (needs hardware OpenGL with shaders). On Fedora yum install projectM-pulseaudio then run "projectM-pulseaudio" and start up M1.

I just downloaded the new version of M1 and I'm noticing some serious problems with FM emulation. Whenever I listen to a soundtrack that uses the YM2203 or YM2610, there seem to be some FM channels missing, which I find odd considering the previous version of M1 didn't have any problems with this.

Did anyone figure the FM emulation problem out yet?

So no plans to compile a win32 version?
After looking at the source it seems that you've added support for DCS2/DCS stereo (or was it always there?) and would love to have a chance to try it out, that's if it works. cool

It's never worked. There is no functional difference between the source and the last released beta binary for Windows users. (Linux peeps gained PulseAudio support which is necessary for compatibility with newer distros).

Hi,

I just downloaded the source and compiled it for x64 Linux.
However the binary crashes with a buffer overflow if I try to run it.

Any suggestions?
