Known bug, probably a flaw of the CPU core (i.e. not the timing).

btw, if you get annoyed by MZ-2500, you would be welcome to contribute here e.g. any idea about why partial video updates in Desert Fighter start jumping between 80 and 140 as soon as you reach the screen with the mission map?

This bug reported in August has been fixed today (either by 7658 or by 7661). Not that I want to play this game, but... Thank you!

Well, this topic is full of bug reports, somebody should go through the entire topic, check the bugs and do a recap, but it isn't a 5 minutes job.
