I downloaded and compiled 0.138 today and gave it a test run. When running the stock TI99-4A roms, (ti99_4a) everything works correctly. However when trying to use the EVPC version (ti99_4ev) I get a cyan screen and a continuous beeping tone. Any advice as to what I could be doing wrong or is the a problem with this driver? Thanks in advance.

Current svn, all ti99 series crash at start.

Oops, it wasn't the current svn. Should have checked more closely.

@Robbert: are you running svn post-8193?

Does anyone know the reason for this? What was changed? Was it a change to the ti driver or the core that broke it?

Core change combined with driver cruft. I changed the core IDE functionality to be able to talk to MESS disk devices, which makes it possible to have working IDE HDD support in MESS drivers. That made the TI assert (not the _4ev) because the TI has some ancient IDE support (which apparently either never worked or hasn't for 5+ years) that got woken up by the core changes.

Hmmm, I wonder if it would be possible to disable the "cruft" until it can be fixed, if it can't be fixed easily...?

Well, there's a workaround in now so the normal TI drivers work fine again.

It looks like the ti99_4ev driver now defaults to all peripherals turned off. Press ScrollLock then TAB to select Driver Configuration. Then turn on at least the disk controller and whatever other peripherals you need.

dormml,
I tried again this afternoon with svn 8198 and I am getting the same response. The normal TI driver seems to work ok, but the EVPC version fails with a blank cyan screen and a continuous tone.
