XEGS (36 titles) all tested and seem to boot fine in current SVN.
I found it was a tricky combination of making sure you had the roms (typically for bios) and the software path in the rompath at the same time. You also need to make sure the XML for the system is available in your HASH folder. Once you get that set up, it's a matter to typing "mess xegs -cart ttoppler", for example.

And the hash path setting in the ini should point to your hash folder wink

Yes, but none of that is the problem if some games work and some don't smile

I deleted the obj folder and compiled again.
Still have the same problem.

Now I will delete all (src/obj) and try again.

Thanks etabeta for having a look a xegs and putting it into better shape.

I am continuing work on the a800 cartridges and will have the xml ready in a week or so. There are 261 cartridges in the collection with about 40% working in the current MESS implimentation of the Atari 800/XL/XE.

It might be worth reviewing the Atari 8-bit machine structure as well. Currently the 400, 800, XL/XE, xegs seperated in the MESS heirachy. After some investigation it seems that the 400-800/XL machines are virtually similar and the XE/XEGS have a different memory manager.

What do you guys think?

Big thanks Barry, to get HIMEM.SYS to work. smile

The MS-DOS 6.2 L10 Bootdisk content a file called " setup2.exe ".
With this file it is possible to make the right settings for the himem.

SVN r8406
The saved settings in CMOS RAM will be saved to NVRAM file.
I suggest to delete the old fmtowns.nv file before.
