I have a white pixel on the initializing screen.

Hi Anna Wu

I can confirm it. Also this seems new (might be the same problem):

Seems the font is either to big or the place given for the text is to small. (Just my 2c)

My screenshot is with Ui.bdc/Ui.bdf.
With or without the Ui font, I have the pixel on the initializing screen.
I think something is not right centered.

Also text centering problems exist.
Option > Configuration...

Example, the config menu for the coco3 driver

AnnaWu, that problem has been around forever, it is listed as bug 1942. The other problem, that of the ui.bdf messages wrapping, started at 138u2.

All driver-specific INI files are now being generated in the MESS root directory...

This started happening when the compile tools were changed. The same code built with different tools gave this result in one build, and not in the other. Changing the compile language to C++ caused the problem to change again...

I encountered that before when compiling Mame, iirc it had to do with if I used -mfpmath=sse or -mfpmath=387 but I'm not sure. You could try specifying either and see if it fixes it. I've encountered some other weird issues when using mame's 'official' windows toolchain which don't appear when I compile under linux.
