Heihachi: Negative, all the defective files I've seen produced by 7-zip are standard zip format using Deflate, they just are a little outside the standard and break everything but 7-zip itself. You are playing with fire, especially using Ultra mode.

I agree. In the past, I made some bad experiences with some compressed Mac CHD images. The Images was no more valid, even after I decompress the Images again.

Well Just FYI I used WinRAR to Extract the Rom I needed and then used it again to compress it as a ZIP and all is well...
Now I am just having issues with Maximus Arcade...
Here is what I just posted in the MA Forum...

I am using MESS for all the systems... Just FYI...
Here's my Issue, I currently have Atari 2600, 5200 & 7800, ColecoVision & Genisis working great!
I have NES & SNES working in the MESS GUI for Windows as well as the other systems I listed, but when I try to run NES & SNES I get a "Debunk" sound that it wont load the rom even though they are all listed.
I have everything set up just like the rest of the systems and as I said all of these work great in the MESS GUI and only these 2 will not work in MA.

I have had issues with 7-zip as well, similar issues.

(Although occasionally it is useful when dealing with *already corrupt* Zips and trying to do data recovery...)

If you have a specific problem with the Maximus Arcade, i suggest to contact the devs for this launcher.
