Can someone confirm the problem, please ?

PSION series
Example: Organizer II CM

Delete first the old NVRAM file if exist.

Start the psioncm driver (with disabled saved system state). All seems to be ok.

Exit MESS, a new NVRAM file was created.
Start now the psioncm driver ((with disabled saved system state) again and check.
It seems, the created NVRAM is wrong.

The only way is to start the driver with saved system state to skip the initialization or to delete the NVRAM file again.

Oric problem identified: Floppy motor is never turned on.

This used to work because the floppy motor was hacked to always turn on on any command, but this was removed. Reading the schematics shows that the floppy motor on signal is connected to the HLD (head load) signal of the FD1973. This signal is not emulated properly yet, therefore there is no easy fix. I may take a look at emulating this output tonight.

Hi Anna,

As I noted in the source, the NVRAM works only if the machine is turned off (with OFF menu) before closing MESS

Try do this:

- delete the old NVRAM file.
- start the emulation
- turn off the machine with the OFF menu
- closing MESS

This should work in all Psion series.

You are right, s.ronco smile Thank you.
I think this is a important info which we have to add in sysinfo.

Choose the " Quit " option before you leave the PSION emulation.
Use the arrow keys (depent of PSION type) to reach the " Quit " option in the menu.
Exit MESS and the created NVRAM file will be valid.

Nimbus problem: Floppy motor never turned on. Fix should be easy in this case, I'll take a look tonight if no one else does in the meantime.
