I should've known byuu's cutting-edge C++ would run afoul of the "we'd rather you use Visual Basic" compiler ;-)

Does "r = (q << 1) | c ? 1 : 0;" work?

Could have fooled me from the hours of fun I've had trying to use WinAPI to do things they "forgot" to expose in VB... :P

seems there is a problem with the latest svn. Trying to compile gives the following:
Code:
make TARGET=mess
Compiling src/emu/cpu/rsp/rspfe.c...
src/emu/cpu/rsp/rspfe.c: In function 'int rspfe_describe(void*, opcode_desc*, const opcode_desc*)':
src/emu/cpu/rsp/rspfe.c:65: error: 'LIMMVAL' was not declared in this scope
src/emu/cpu/rsp/rspfe.c:85: error: 'SIMMVAL' was not declared in this scope
src/emu/cpu/rsp/rspfe.c: In function 'int describe_instruction_regimm(rsp_state*, UINT32, opcode_desc*)':
src/emu/cpu/rsp/rspfe.c:238: error: 'SIMMVAL' was not declared in this scope
make: *** [obj/windows/mess/emu/cpu/rsp/rspfe.o] Error 1

Replace all instances of LIMMVAL, SIMMVAL, and UIMMVAL in the RSP directory with SIMM16, UIMM16, and LIMM16, I believe. I'm not at home to fix it myself.

Glad to help, I'll be submitting the same fix later tonight unless someone gets to it before I do. smile

Get this while compiling:
Code:
c:\mingw\mess>make TARGET=mess
Compiling src/mess/drivers/vii.c...
cc1plus.exe: warnings being treated as errors
src/mess/drivers/vii.c:982: error: 'device_config* construct_machine_config_vsmi
le(machine_config&, device_config*)' defined but not used
src/mess/drivers/vii.c:1052: error: 'void driver_init_vsmile(running_machine*)'
defined but not used
make: *** [obj/windows/mess/mess/drivers/vii.o] Error 1

EDIT: Thanx Fixed
