no idea then, building a 64-bit build using a freshly checked out source and the official compile tools from mamedev.org hits that error exactly as described here.

Working draw lines ... QX-10 has an EAD bug for whatever reason, so it crashes now when it attempts to draw them in the diagnostic SW. Going to check that out ...

Fresh build for Debug on 32-bit windows works fine here. It's likely because the "-log" command isn't working right now (from MAME import)

Spent my full day to rewrite the uPD7220 vram to be 8-bits wide (like it should anyway). Got shared VRAM writes to finally work in PC-9801 (as shown in this pic). And yes, the black dots are due of quirkness in the BASIC function itself and not a video emulation bug.
