the key part is "NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN" wink

i.e. you have the best available sets that everyone else uses, while waiting for decap of the cdic and slave chips

go on without fear smile

it's easier if you press TAB and remap the mouse buttons to Crtl & Alt, even if the input is a mouse smile

There are programming docs for any cd reader MCU?

I don't think you quite understand: that's what we *do*. MAME emulates something like 2,500 unique arcade games on probably 700 unique hardware platforms. Outside of the CPUs and (usually) sound chips, everything on arcade games made before about 1997 is fully custom, and frequently rather odd. And in 99% of cases, we reverse-engineer the chips simply by watching register writes.

Right, as others have said the default mapping is a bit weird, but you can remap the keys.

Alien Gate works the same for you as the image I converted for the initial software list then, good.

I guess a real CDi-Ready disc like The Apprentice will be interesting. The only way I could get it to work in MESS was by creating a fake first track from the pregap area, and shifting all the tracks +1, which obviously isn't true to real hardware.

How does CDi-Ready work on real hardware?

Also, for the scrambled dumps, does this mean even the first 150 sectors are being dumped? the area of the disc where the TOC is? I know some copy protected audio CDs have messed up TOCs which is meant to prevent ripping in a PC, but still works on a CD player for whatever reason (although most recent PC drives seem to 'auto-correct' it anyway)
