To transfer files to the PC you need the 1DDTool.
Command line example: 1DDTool.exe r READROM.1DD KANJIROM.DAT

KANJIROM.DAT
CRC: 6aac5e5f
SHA1: d109f0670c09a4ac6dda7d670617b2b7aec8fa8c

PS: Check the redump.net server, Kale.
The question is, these (SMCROM.DAT + KANJIROM.DAT) are the real ROMs or virtual dummies only ?
I have also 2 game compilation disks created.

I think that at least smcrom.dat is real ... the v2 one comes from a dumped machine and it somehow matches it.

kanjirom.dat is empty (0 filled), so pointless to add.

Yes, you need the hardware to dump it.

No problem, I will try to find a Sony SMC77 computer owner. smile
I know now how we can dump the SMC77 ROMs and I can explain some the owner like to dump the FM Towns ROMs in the past.

Thexder's a good candidate for a MESS driver show-off, given the sheer number of ports. Game Arts & Square did Japanese versions on at least the PC-88, PC-98, X1, MSX, and NES, and then Sierra did versions on at least MS-DOS, Tandy 1000, Amiga, Apple II, Apple IIgs, and Macintosh, plus a Windows 95 version years later. We should be able to run all of those except the Win95 one, I think.

btw, in current svn you can now speed up navigation through folders in the internal File Manager by typing the letters of the filename

I tried to implement something similar in the software list submenu as well (which would help a lot for large lists) but it is currently not possible due to the way the menu code has been originally created.
I hope to improve it next week, so that the same feature can be added to softlist too.
