1.) The bug is now fixed (new build tested).
2.) "Devices" tab: Now it is clear for me.
The problem was, my column wwwwiiiiddddtttthhhh. ; )
The folder symbol to browse the files was not visible (far right)
So I was wondering, how I can load/mount any software.

Adjusted now the column width.

Thanks for your patience.
Danke fr Deine Geduld. smile

Suggestion: If Im in the device setup window and press the right mouse button a popup menu with "Open ..." or folder symbol should be visible. Thus, it is always available.
So we can prevent this kind of problem if a user have a wrong column width or may a low screen resolution.

PS: The last selected software (File) should be automatically saved ( or as option in the settings) before you quit QMC2.
Because if I restart QMC2 the file field is empty.

Yeah, I may add that...

The interpretation of the colors for the ROM state filter icons make me as MESS user a bit confused. Especially for working, non working and skeleton drivers. Because it can be misinterpreted.

It should exist 2 possibilities to show the state filter icons :

1.) Driver status
2.) ROM status

The ROM status colors are really "only" for the ROMs, and I will keep it that way... the driver status is displayed in the "machine list with full detail", but not as a sort or filter criteria (that could be done, though). It's part of the item's tree...

As MAME user its ok.
As MESS user its a bit confusing.

I'm probably too much influenced by MESSUI smile

Hmmm, really, you're the first saying that... do others agree that it's confusing for MESS users the way it is now? Sure, it's the result of QMC2 having its roots on "the MAME side of life", but I don't feel the need to differentiate here...

What would make things clearer perhaps may be adding a "driver status" column.
