Hello everybody. I have been trying to compile MAME with the SUBTARGET=mess option, and the MSX drivers don't appear in the systems list. Anyone else having the same problem? In case it's needed, here is the command i use:
make -j12 SUBTARGET=mess PTR64=1 USE_NETWORK=1 OPTIMIZE=3 SYMBOLS=0
Thanks

Avoid the arcade/mess subtargets, we in practice don't really care about them. If you want msx only, use SOURCES=msx (any directory or comma-separated list of directories from src/mame should work).
OG.

Hey, I'm having problems compiling MAME on my Windows 11 desktop. It's got a Ryzen 7 7700X in it, but it also has some stability issues, so maybe that's causing it? Anyway, the compiler itself segfaults pretty consistently on src/mame/atari/nl_pongdoubles.cpp.

Dialing it back to 4800 fixed everything.

How is it that basically every one of the systems you've built has had some sort of stability issue? Aren't you supposed to be some sort of genius wunderkind?

Okay, first off, my Ryzen 5000 system didn't have ANY stability issues. Secondly, my dad was the one who built this one. Also, the RAM has now broken my fucking Windows install by making it BSOD during an update lmao. Also, I never said I was a "genius wunderkind" as you put it.
