Because the default value is 512 bytes.

Example:

20MB

with the fourth parameter (256 BPS)
chdman.exe -createblankhd hdd.hd 615 4 32 256

without the fourth parameter (512 BPS as default)
chdman.exe -createblankhd hdd.hd 615 4 16

To keep the list a little smaller (and track real-world sizes better) I'd suggest 5/10/20/40/80/160/320/500/750MB and 1/2/4GB.

Well, there will be these "standard sizes" in a selection-list, and the ability to specify a "custom size" with all of the parameters.
