I spotted this on Tradera (Swedish eBay affiliate).

With a starting bid of 1 SEK it's practically free. Apparently it comes with copious amounts of documentation too, and the possibility for some kind of floppy with Wordstar software if the seller can dig it up.

I'd pick this one up myself if only I could, but alas I'm not able to. Hopefully, someone in the area will. I don't know how useful the computer or docs would be for Mess (it's apparently based upon some Toshiba model) but I'd rather see it dumped and preserved than thrown on a dump. Especially since it seems to be a rather rare system.

It's very rare and non-PC compatible, so it's very much useful for us.

As a last resort, I might be able to pick it up. I have no car to drive there, but the owner may be willing to transport it to Stockholm, depending on car space and how much I'm willing to pay. If someone MESS-friendly wants to pick it up, that's much preferred, but if this system is as rare as you say and this is our chance of getting it, that might be a solution. The question is, is it worth it?

(There's no monitor and it seems pretty hard to find replacements.)

Someone did, but at least it wasn't me. Did someone else here bid on it? (If not, you could try to contact the winner. The auction hinted at there being 2 computers, so maybe he's willing to loan 1 for dumping...?)

Hi all.

Lucky coincidence, just found this forum post when I was searching for software to my Step/ONE machine. I'm the winner of the tradera auction. The machines starts but I'm missing a monitor, so can't really confirm if they works.

Hello! Do you have facilities for dumping the ROMs, floppies, and scanning the manuals? If not, we can help smile

Hi.
I can scan the manuals, no problems. But I need help to dump the ROMs.

Regards,
Niclas

Hi, if you don't find anyone near you, could you consider sending it over registered mail for dumping?

FatArnold sent me the Luxor Slutprov rom, it was succesfully dumped and returned home safely smile
